These OKX Merchant Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of OKX's merchant services (the "Services") by merchants who wish to accept cryptocurrency payments through OKX. By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.
1. Definitions
In these Terms, the following terms have the following meanings:
"Account" means a merchant account created with OKX to use the Services.
"Customer" means a person or entity that purchases goods or services from a Merchant using the Services.
"Merchant" means a person or entity that accepts cryptocurrency payments through the Services.
"Order" means a request by a Customer to purchase goods or services from a Merchant.
"Payment" means a transfer of cryptocurrency from a Customer to a Merchant in exchange for goods or services.
"Services" means the merchant services provided by OKX, including but not limited to:
Payment processing
Merchant account management
Fraud prevention
Customer support
"Transaction" means a completed Payment between a Customer and a Merchant.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible to use the Services, you must:
Be a legal entity or an individual who is at least 18 years of age.
Have a valid business license or other government-issued identification.
Be in good standing with OKX and have no history of fraud or abuse.
3. Account Creation
To use the Services, you must create an Account. You can create an Account by visiting the OKX website and following the instructions. When creating your Account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your Account information up to date.
4. Payment Processing
OKX will process Payments on behalf of Merchants. Merchants will receive Payments in the cryptocurrency of their choice. OKX will convert Payments into the Merchant's local currency at the prevailing exchange rate. Merchants will be responsible for any fees associated with currency conversion.
5. Merchant Account Management
OKX will provide Merchants with access to a Merchant Dashboard to manage their Accounts. The Merchant Dashboard will allow Merchants to view their transaction history, manage their payment settings, and access support.
6. Fraud Prevention
OKX takes fraud prevention seriously. OKX employs a variety of measures to prevent fraud, including but not limited to:
Address Verification System (AVS)
Card Verification Value (CVV)
3D Secure
Fraud scoring
Merchants are responsible for taking their own fraud prevention measures. OKX recommends that Merchants use a fraud prevention service to help identify and prevent fraudulent transactions.
7. Customer Support
OKX provides customer support to Merchants 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Merchants can contact customer support by email, phone, or live chat.
8. Fees
OKX charges a fee for the use of its Services. The fee schedule is available on the OKX website. Merchants are responsible for paying all fees associated with the Services.
9. Termination
OKX may terminate your Account for any reason, including but not limited to:
Violation of these Terms
Fraud or abuse
Inactivity
Change in business model
OKX will provide you with notice of termination by email or in writing. Upon termination, you will no longer have access to your Account or the Services.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Cayman Islands, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and OKX with respect to the use of the Services. Any prior agreements, understandings, or representations between you and OKX are hereby superseded by these Terms.
